Give a Green Ribbon this Mental Health Awareness Week

Next week will see Mental Health Awareness Week (10th – 16th May) highlight the importance of good mental health for everyone around the world. The theme for this year is nature and throughout the week we will be celebrating the positive impact that nature can have on our wellbeing as well as sharing some tips as well on how to improve your own mental health.

For the fifth year running, in conjunction with our This Is Me initiative we will be taking part in the Green Ribbon campaign, to help end the stigma around mental health for everyone, everywhere.

Due to the ongoing impacts of the pandemic, which means that we may have to be apart, we will again be encouraging employees and businesses to digitally share green ribbons across their social media, creating a virtual movement of support, helping to create more inclusive workplaces and letting people know they are not alone.

With the theme of nature as well in 2021, it is the ideal opportunity to take your green ribbon outside and share an image of yourself supporting the campaign.

Throughout the years over 170,000 Green Ribbons have been sold to companies all around the UK from Aberdeen to Cornwall and each year the support grows. It is easy to get involved in the Green Ribbon campaign and we have created a whole host of materials and assets that can help employees and colleagues spread the Green Ribbon message online.

All our assets, from origami green ribbons to social media cover photos and mindful colouring sheets can be found here and you can also learn more about our pioneering This Is Me mental health storytelling campaign which see’s employee’s being encouraged to tell their story and help end the stigma around mental health.

Don’t forget this Mental Health Awareness Week you can also gift a green ribbon to a colleague, friend or organisation, showing support and solidarity for positive wellbeing, no matter where they are in the world.

We look forward to going green this Mental Health Awareness Week so show our support and we hope you will join us to. Don’t forget to use #endthestigma
