City Stories: Nomura
Why are you supporting City Giving Day?
Nomura uses City Giving Day to highlight the work Nomura does in the Community. Nomura aims to inspire more employees across the firm to get involved in its Community Affairs activities, whilst raising the profile of the charitable organisations they support through their charitable foundation; The Nomura Charitable Trust.
Which charities or communities do you support?
This year Nomura will be highlighting its three flagship charity partners, supported through Nomura’s Charitable Foundation; The Nomura Charitable Trust. Nomura supports the employability potential of disadvantaged young people aged 16-24. A particular focus internally will be on highlighting how Nomura employees can use their skills and expertise to upskill local communities.
How will you celebrate City Giving Day?
This year Nomura will continue to focus on the difference employees can make with one hour. Activities will include employability focus workshops and Nomura’s annual speed networking session with their partner charities.
Which charity are you supporting, why are you supporting it?
Nomura focuses its charitable efforts through The Nomura Charitable Trust, supporting future generations to learn, thrive and get their foot on the career ladder. City Giving Day will be a fantastic way to celebrate Nomura’s three charity partners who will be announced later in the summer.
“City Giving day is always a great celebration at Nomura. This year we will be welcoming our three new charity partners, and encouraging employees to get involved over the next year to make huge impact in the lives of young people in our communities.”
