City Stories: Lloyds Banking Group
Why are you supporting City Giving Day?
Lloyds Banking Group will once again be proudly supporting City Giving Day and demonstrating our commitment to helping Britain prosper. We will be hosting a charity fair and showcasing the wide range of volunteering programmes and charities we support. We expect more than 500 of our London colleagues to get involved on the day.
Which charities or communities do you support?
As well as our charity fair, we plan to host a digital garage event which will help over 100 small charities and social enterprises to gain vital digital skills and ultimately improve their bottom line by making the most of digital channels and techniques.
How will you celebrate City Giving Day?
Through our flagship London Ambassador initiative, we have spent a lot of time understanding the issues that matter most to Londoners. City Giving Day allows us to showcase our work and bring it to life with a day of events for charities, social enterprises and colleagues.
Which charity are you supporting, why are you supporting it?
Lloyds Banking Group’s charity of the year is Mental Health UK and we will look to support them on the day. We will also showcase the work of our charity customers and support more than 100 charities to improve their digital skills.
"City Giving Day allows us to showcase the great work our colleagues do to support communities across London. We want to help London prosper, as part of our wider commitment to helping Britain prosper."
Ed Thurman, Lloyds Banking Group Ambassador for London
