The Lord Mayor’s Appeal calendar of annual events helps to highlight our four thought-leadership initiatives and fundraise for our two partner charities: Homewards and MQ Mental Health Research. 

From our thrilling Abseil Challenge to an unforgettable night of Drag Bingo, our events offer companies and individuals in the City and beyond an exciting way to support us in our aim to create A Better City For All.

Power of Inclusion Social Mobility Workshop Series: Harnessing your Data

Wednesday 7 May

This workshop will focus on harnessing data to support your social mobility strategy. Explore why collecting and evaluating data is essential to understanding your workforce and making evidence-based decisions.

Mental Health Awareness Week 2025

12-16 May

Striving for a Healthy City where the stigma of speaking about mental health in the workplace doesn’t exist, This is Me will again be amplifying Mental Health Awareness Week activities across The City and celebrating this year’s theme of community.

The Lady Mayoress's Drag Bingo Night

Wednesday 4 June

6:30pm-10:45pm

Join the ‘Lady Mayoress’ AKA Dolly Trolley for a fabulous night of Drag Bingo on Wednesday 4 June at the historical Guildhall. Get your glitter, feathers and sequins out and dress to the nines for this extravagant evening of raucous bingo, hosted by the delightful Dolly Trolley who will be our Lady Mayoress for the night.

City Giving Day 2025 Engagement Breakfast

Join the Lord Mayor Alderman Alastair King at Mansion House for a City Giving Day Engagement Breakfast to share their plans and top tips for City Giving Day 2025.  There will also be an opportunity to hear from the City Giving Day Activity Champions and speakers on why City companies should take part the biggest event of the year.

The Lord Mayor's Cup

Friday 27 June

12:00pm-6:00pm

Join The Lord Mayor Alderman Alastair King DL at Powerleague Shoreditch for an unforgettable day of football, fun and fundraising at the inaugural Lord Mayor’s Cup, a 5-a-side charity football tournament in aid of The Lord Mayor's Appeal. The tournament for up to 32 teams is a 5-a-side format with squads of up to 8 players per team. Mixed teams are welcomed and encouraged.

Abseil Challenge 2025

Friday 4 July

9:00am-6:00pm

The thrilling Lord Mayor’s Appeal Abseil Challenge will return this year bigger and better than ever! Open to everyone who is over 18 and reasonably fit – come take on the dizzying height of The Leadenhall Building, AKA ‘The Cheesegrater’ while raising money for some of society’s most pressing issues.
