TLMA team attends the ICAP Charity Day Impact Reception

The Lord Mayor's Appeal team attended the annual ICAP Charity Day Impact Reception this March.

Taking place at Mansion House, the event gives ICAP teams from around the world, ICAP Charity Day supporters and beneficiaries the chance to come together and celebrate its incredible impact.

ICAP Charity Day 2024 took place in December and saw the global company and their brokers give all their revenues and commissions to charity for one day to raise an amazing £5.2 million.

The Lord Mayor's Appeal was chosen again this year as a beneficiary. ICAP are also one of The Lord Mayor's Appeal's Founding Patrons Corporate Partners.

Matt Bentall, Head of Programmes for The Lord Mayor's Appeal says;

"We are very lucky to have been supported by ICAP for a number of years. Their generosity has a direct and tangible influence on the level of support that we in turn can provide to our partner charities allowing us to fund vital work addressing a range of societal issues over the years such as mental health, homelessness and support for young people."

The ICAP Charity Day Impact Reception welcomed some familiar faces, among them were King’s Trust ambassadors - Ant and Dec who were on presenting duties for the second year.

There was also an appearance from Royal British Legion Ambassador, Ray Winstone, who spoke about how the day packs a huge impact while still being immense fun for all involved.

The audience was also treated to a performance from the Rays of Sunshine choir. Another musical guest came in the form of singer Chesney Hawkes who was there as ambassador of ICAP Charity Day beneficiary, Calm Zone.

Since 1993, ICAP Charity Day has raised more than £170 million, which has funded more than 3,000 charitable causes around the world, directly supporting more than 7.7 million people.
