23 Mile Club to run The London Marathon again!

First established to prepare a team of City of London Corporation (CoLC) marathon runners for the first London Marathon on 29 March 1981, the 23 Mile Club have competed in every London Marathon since.

In the run up to the London Marathon which takes place this year on Sunday 27 April, the 23-Mile Club hosted a challenge celebration event at Mansion House with The Lord Mayor in attendence to hand out the all-important 23-Mile Club red running shirts.

March's event was also attended by Kate Finnis, Corporate Partnership Manager at The Lord Mayor's Appeal, who has pledged to join the City of London 23 Mile Club Cheer Squad on marathon race day.

Another guest was Lady Mayoress Florence King who is also taking part in The London Marathon, so was busy swapping training techniques talk with fellow runners. 

We'd like to wish all of the 23-Mile Club runners the best of luck and to say a big thanks to all those supporters who have raised 58% of thier £4,000 fundraising target for The Lord Mayor’s Appeal.
