The Lord Mayor's Appeal Events: January to April

The Lord Mayor’s Appeal calendar of annual events helps to highlight our four thought-leadership initiatives and fundraise for our two partner charities: Homewards and MQ Mental Health Research.

From The City’s yearly beer festival to business breakfasts discussing social mobility, our events offer companies and individuals in the City and beyond an exciting way to support us in our aim to create A Better City For All.

With so many in the pipeline, we've created a one-stop, round-up of The Lord Mayor’s Appeal Events from January to April 2025.

This is Me Northwest January Event

Monday 20^th January 2025 15:30-17:30

Join This is Me Northwest, hosted by Barclays for an insightful in person discussion on the impacts of digital technology and social media on mental health.

Chinese New Year Concert

10 February at 6:00pm-9:00pm

Celebrate the Chinese New Year at Mansion House with a unique concert with drinks and canapé reception featuring talented pupils from the renowned Yehudi Menuhin Schools. This enchanting evening will feature a selection of collaborative classical pieces beautifully performed by future stars of the classical world, from Brahms’ enlivening Hungarian Dances to Mendelssohn’s magnificent Octet.

Driving Socioeconomic Inclusion through Storytelling Webinar

Join our webinar to explore how storytelling initiatives can help you to strengthen your social mobility strategy by creating the space to reflect on barriers to inclusion and progression. Attendees will gain valuable insights into using storytelling as a tool to advance socioeconomic inclusion as well as learning more about our Power of Inclusion initiative.

We Can Be 2025

26 February

We Can Be is a full day event, where young women (Years 10 - 13) from across London and beyond will visit different corporate organisations in small groups to learn about their business as well as crucial work readiness skills through a number of immersive activities organised by businesses in the morning. In the afternoon, all the groups will come together at Guildhall joined by City employees and Appeal partners keen to show their commitment to the gender agenda.

Lady Mayoress’s Sleep Out

6-7 March, 9:00pm-7:00am

Join Lady Mayoress Florence King this March for the third annual Lady Mayoress’s Sleep Out raising funds for Prince William’s Homewards and Pret A Manger’s charity, The Pret Foundation. Taking place at Guildhall Yard overnight on Thursday March 6, the charity fundraising event asks participants from the City and beyond to ditch their deliciously warm beds for the night to help raise awareness of the issue of homelessness.

City Giving Day 2025 Launch Breakfast

Join us for the annual City Giving Day 2025 Launch Breakfast at Mansion House providing a perfect opportunity for businesses and their employees to start planning for City Giving Day and how to celebrate all they do for charities and their local communities throughout the year.

Lord Mayor's Eid-Al-Fitr Dinner

9 April at 6:30pm-10:30pm

Join The Lord Mayor and Lady Mayoress at an Eid-Al-Fitr Dinner at magnificent Guildhall. This prestigious event held at the end of Ramadan will be a celebration of the long and deep relationship between the City of London and the Muslim world. It will include a mocktail drinks reception in the atmospheric Crypts, dinner in the stunning Great Hall, a fundraising silent auction and fantastic entertainment.
