ICAP Charity Day raises £5.2m

The Lord Mayor’s Appeal were thrilled once again this December to be one of ICAP Charity Day’s chosen beneficiaries.

One of the highlights of the City’s year, the annual fundraising campaign sees the global company and their brokers give all their revenues and commissions to charity for one day. This year they raised an amazing £5,200,000 to help people and causes in need.

This year's ICAP Charity Day was bigger and better than ever, with a host of celebrity guests including Ray Winstone, Jerry Hall, Anne Hathaway, Jack Whitehall and the new Lord Mayor Alderman Alastair King DL. Themes for the desks were Yellowstone, 1980s’, Pelicans, darts champions, golfers and many more.

The Lord Mayor was joined by The Lord Mayor’s Appeal’s Corporate Partnership Manager Kate Finnis and Chief Executive Caroline Wright.

One of her favourite days of the City year, Caroline Wright said:

“As always ICAP Charity got off to a wonderful start with Marines Band playing outside followed by a Choir from Rays of Sunshine in the Foyer.

The energy and enthusiasm from the traders on ICAP Charity Day is infectious and it is definitely a highlight visit of the year. Thank you to all the traders for their generosity on this day.”

By giving away all their revenues and commissions on just one day each year, ICAP Charity Day has positively changed the lives of thousands of people less fortunate.

Since 1993, ICAP Charity Day has raised more than £170 million, which has funded more than 3,000 charitable causes around the world, directly supporting more than 7.7 million people.
