The Lord Mayor's Appeal Events: April-June 2024

The Lord Mayor’s Appeal calendar of annual events helps to highlight our four thought leadership initiatives and fundraise for our three partner charities: MQ Mental Health Research, Homewards and National Numeracy. From educational webinars to fancy dress balls, our events offer companies and individuals in the City and beyond an exciting way to support us in our aim to create A Better City For All.

With so many in the pipeline, we’ve decided to start a new blog series highlighting our events every quarter. Below is a round-up of The Lord Mayor’s Appeal Events from April to June 2024:

This is Me Workplace Wellbeing Workshop: How Can Activity Improve Wellness and Relieve Stress?

18 April at 10am-12pm

Combining lived experience and practical tips on best practice, the webinar aims to understand how important activity is to connecting physical and mental health, helping to improve wellness and relieve stress.

Mental Health Awareness Week 2024

13-19 May

Striving for a Healthy City where the stigma of speaking about mental health in the workplace doesn’t exist, This is Me will again be amplifying Mental Health Awareness Week activities across The City and celebrating this year’s theme of movement.

Ride Around the City

22 May at 9:00am-11:30am

The Rt Hon The Lord Mayor of the City of London Alderman Professor Michael Mainelli and the Sheriffs of the City of London Alderwoman Dame Susan Langley DBE and Alderman Bronek Masojada are proud to be mounting up and taking part in Ride around the City.

Abseil Challenge 2024

7 June at 9:00am-5:00pm

Take on the dizzying height of The Leadenhall Building, also known as the Cheesegrater and head up to the 47th floor and descend an impressive 215m while raising funds at the same time!

City Giving Day Engagement Breakfast

12 June at 7:45am-10:00am

Join the Lord Mayor Alderman Professor Michael Mainelli at Mansion House for a breakfast sharing this year’s plans and top tips for City Giving Day 2024. Companies can swap ideas and network ahead of the big day in September.

Bavarian Ball

13 June at 6:30pm-11:30pm

The Lord Mayor and Lady Mayoress will hosting a Bavarian Ball at Mansion House reflecting the heritage of the Lady Mayoress and including a Beer and Champagne reception, a mouth-watering Bavarian feast, a foot stomping five piece band, fundraising activities and plenty of singing, swaying and cheering.
