Racing into our indoor events
Real life events are back on the calendar and The Lord Mayor’s Appeal kicked off their upcoming busy events period with the ever-popular Race Night, which took place at Mansion House.
The 190 guests in attendance were treated to a beautiful welcome from the Light Cavalry who were mounted on horseback, before heading into the venue for champagne and canapes followed by a three-course dinner with wine with three thrilling screened horse races between courses.
Guests in attendance were able to bet on the races and test their horse racing knowledge! Congratulations to all those who put lucky pledges on our three winning horses: Norton Folgate, City Slicker and Stradivarius.
The event also offered a silent auction with 22 fantastic lots on offer which guests were able to bid for via electronic tablets. The evening also had a highly successful live auction for five exciting lots which was conducted by Humphrey Butler.
Proceeds from the event, both tickets and the auction means we are on track to raise £130,000 for our charities. The Lord Mayor's Appeal would like to thank everyone who have supported us on the event: in particular our headline sponsor Seven Investment Management, our premium table hosts including Doerr Group, Panmure Gordon, The Jockey Club and The Three Hills Bartlow and all those who bought standard tables or tickets or donated prizes as well as the Organising Committee for all their hard work.
The event marked the perfect start to autumn fundraising and our first indoor in-person fundraising event in over 18 months. We look forward to seeing you all at more of our events over the next few months.
