With your support, we can make an unprecedented change to help one million people thrive.
During a time when young people are facing many challenges, the life-changing experiences offered by a DofE programme have never been more vital. DofE programmes are tailored to unlock the unique skills and interests of each young person, supporting them to understand their limitless potential.
The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award
Between April 2021 – March 2022, DofE participants in London volunteered more than 245,000 hours to support their local communities. This is an estimated total value of £1,132,071.
573 adult volunteers trained as a direct result of The Lord Mayor’s Appeal funding since the start of our relationship with The Lord Mayor’s Appeal – exceeding our original target of 500.
Between April 2021 – March 2022, 31.9% of 14-year-olds in London started a Bronze DofE Award, over half of which are from minority ethnic backgrounds.
Our work
The Lord Mayor’s Appeal’s support has supercharged the charity’s ability to bring the DofE to young people in London and inspire them to go beyond what they believe themselves capable of, no matter their background or financial situation.
Achieving a Duke of Edinburgh’s Award is a game-changer, and our funding is helping to support the DofE’s Youth Without Limits ambition to reach one million young people across the UK in the next five years.
