Abseil Challenge 2024
The ever-so-popular Lord Mayor’s Appeal Abseil Challenge will return on Friday 7 June 2024 and is open to everyone who is over 18 years old and reasonably fit and healthy - no previous experience is needed.
Take on the dizzying height of The Leadenhall Building, also known as the Cheesegrater and head up to the 47th floor where a team of abseiling experts will be on hand to show you the ropes before descending an impressive 215m accompanied by an instructor.
By taking on this abseil you will commit to raising money for The Lord Mayor’s Appeal, ‘A Better City for All’, supporting three charities - MQ Mental Health Research, Homewards and National Numeracy - to deliver ground breaking programmes and find solutions to some of London’s most pressing societal issues.
The Lord Mayor Alderman Professor Michael Mainelli and the Lady Mayoress Elisabeth Mainelli will also be taking on this challenge and they look forward to welcoming you there! If you are unable to join the abseil but would like to support the Lord Mayor and Lady Mayoress please do donate via their JustGiving page here.
We have now sold out of slots but if you would like to go on a waiting list please do email events@thelordmayorsappeal.org
